If you are thinking of practicing medicine in the US, then you need to take what is called the USMLE, or United States Medical Licensure Exam. Also included in the exams are subjects taken in the 3 year of MBBS, which include behavioral sciences, epidemiology, and biostatistics.
Step 2 is usually taken during a medical student’s 4th year and covers subjects such as cardiology, pulmonology, and pediatrics, to name a few. Step 3 takes 2 days to complete and consists of simulations that test a student’s ability to diagnose and understand a patient’s medical history.
